Dining Out For Life - Tonight

Do you want a good reason to try a new restaurant in the DC/MD/NoVA area? How about being able to sample new cuisine and give to charity at the same time?

Food and Friends in DC is doing their annual Dining out For Life event. If you have dinner (and maybe even lunch) at certain area restaurants, they will be donating part of their proceeds for the evening to Food and Friends.

Food and Friends is a wonderful organization dedicated to providing meals and nutrition counseling to those with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. Many people in the DC area do benefit from this organization and so it should only be right that we should give back a little.

The list of participating restaurants may be found here. All restaurants on the list will be giving 25% at the minimum, unless otherwise noted. Personally I'll be dining at The Old Siam tomorrow night since it is a restaurant my boyfriend and I love, plus it is giving 50%.

I hope you'll consider heading out tonight to a participating restaurant, whether its a quiet night out for you, dinner with a group of friends, or even a date with that special someone. Your money will be going to a good cause.
